This Privacy Policy describes how Thomas Spencer Guillaume, doing business as BuildMyAI ("we," "us," "our"), collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit buildmyai.ai or engage our services. We aim to be plain-spoken about what we collect and why — no surprises.

01. What we collect

Information you submit to us

When you submit a contact form, request a Quick Win, or request a 20-minute call, we collect:

  • Your name and email address.
  • Company name and role, if you provide them.
  • Information about your business, project, or task that you choose to share.
  • Any other content you put into the form's free-text fields.

Information from third-party services

We use third-party service providers to operate the website and the business. They process your information on our behalf:

  • Form submissions are processed by Web3Forms, which delivers your message to our inbox. See Web3Forms' privacy policy.
  • Payments, when applicable, are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your payment-card details. See Stripe's privacy policy.
  • Scheduling, when you book a call, is handled by Calendly. We see your name, email, and any information you provide to Calendly's intake form. See Calendly's privacy policy.

Automatically collected information

Our website is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may log standard server information including IP address, browser type, and pages visited. We do not currently use third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or non-essential cookies on this site. If we add any of those in the future, this policy will be updated and we will provide a cookie notice where required.

02. How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to your inquiry.
  • Prepare for and conduct project scoping calls.
  • Deliver the Services you've requested.
  • Send you communications related to your project.
  • Improve our Services and website over time.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

03. Who we share your information with

We share your information only with:

  • Service providers we use to operate the business (e.g., Web3Forms for form processing, Stripe for payments, Calendly for scheduling, Google Workspace for email and storage). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only to provide their service to us.
  • Legal authorities, if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
  • A successor entity, in the event we incorporate, restructure, or sell the business, with notice to you.

04. Cookies & tracking

The buildmyai.ai website does not currently use cookies for tracking, analytics, or marketing. We may use essential cookies if necessary for site functionality (for example, to remember your accessibility preferences). If we add analytics, advertising, or other non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide a cookie banner where applicable.

05. How long we keep your information

  • Form submissions are retained in our email inbox indefinitely, unless you request deletion.
  • Project data is retained during the active engagement and the post-launch support window. After that, we delete or archive non-essential data.
  • Financial records (invoices, payment confirmations) are retained for at least seven (7) years to comply with tax and accounting obligations.

06. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we have about you.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements such as financial records).
  • Object to processing for specific purposes.
  • Export your information in a portable format.

07. International users

We operate from Florida, USA, and your information is stored and processed in the United States. By using our Services, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States.

08. Children's privacy

Our Services are not directed at children under 13 years old (or 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us at hello@buildmyai.ai and we will delete it.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including secure email, encrypted file storage, and secure account credentials. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we ever become aware of a security incident affecting your information, we will notify you and any required authorities promptly and as required by applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Material changes will be communicated via email if we have an active engagement with you.
